How to Program Viewsat Remote Control With Unique Methods

Viewsat is a brand of free satellite receivers installed in home entertainment centers. Unlike subscription satellite services, which encrypt satellite signals, airless satellite receivers receive unencrypted satellite signals. The universal remote control with Viewsat receiver is universal and can be programmed to the work with other devices in the home entertainment center, such as televisions, VCRs, and DVD players.

Viewsat Remote Control Instruction Manual:

Step 1: Turn on the TV, VCR, or DVD player that you want to program to control your Viewsat remote control.

Step 2: Press and hold the “TV”, “VCR” or “DVD” button until the remote control indicator lights up. Release the button after the indicator lights up.

Step 3: Find the device code in the code list in the Viewsat manual. The code is determined by the device manufacturer. Each manufacturer can use approximately three-digit codes. You can find links to PDF files in the operating instructions in the reference section.

Step 4: Define the remote control for the device you want to program, and enter the first three-digit codes. If you enter the code correctly, the screen will flash three times and then turn off.

 Step 5: To check the new programmed device, press the Power button on the remote control. When the device is turned off, the code is entered correctly. If the device does not turn off, repeat steps 1-4 with the following Viewsat codes in the list.

Program Viewsat Remote Control With “Code Search Method”:

Step 1: Turn on the device you want to program.

Step 2: Press and hold the button on the remote control until the Viewsat remote control indicator lights up.

Step 3: Point the Viewsat remote control at the device and press the up arrow button. The screen starts blinking.

The remote control takes about 3 seconds to check the first set of codes. If the remote control finds a code for your device, the device is turned off.

Step 4: Press the up arrow to find the next code. This should only be done if the screen stops blinking and the device is not turned off. Press and hold the Top button until your device finds the correct Viewsat remote codes.

Step 5: Press the “OK” button on the remote control to record the code on the remote control.
