Insignia Smart TV is also a new generation TV that carries a remote or the Insignia universal remote. If you want to control your television with some other brand remote, you will require the Insignia universal remote codes.

Remotes are programmed using these universal remote codes for controlling your Insignia TV. However, the other method is controlling your device with no codes. Below you can find step by step instructions on how to use the Insignia TV without any programming codes.

All the universal remote codes are passed by scanning process in the auto search mode. One code undergoes scanning in one time so that we can get the correct remote code. Then, this scanned code is programmed with your remote to get control over the Insignia TV. Go through some steps given below:

1. First of all, turn on your smart device (TV) where you will use the universal remote for operation.
2. Then, switch on the remote. Press the button on the device (CBL, DVD, and TV) for 3 seconds. The device is ready to program when you see the LED light flashing.
3. Place the remote pointing to the appliance and tap the buttons “CH+” and “CH-“. Now the remote will display the on/off signals. Hold on the “up” or “down” keys continuously until the appliance will shut off.
4. Go through the verification process of the code by tapping the “power” key. The appliance will turn on. If it begins, then change the channels to confirm that the remote is working correctly.
5. Press the button “device” for saving the code. The LED light of the appliance will flash two times to verify the code storage.
